Forget being papped on a beach in the south of France, it seems the new rite of passage for Hollywood's most famous face is a guest appearance on Glee.

Everyone from Jennifer Lopez to Justin Timberlake has or is rumoured to be starring on the hit musical comedy. Now Katy Perry has decided she wants to be a 'Gleek' too.

"Please! I would love somebody to start that Facebook group and persuade them. I would absolutely love that" Katy said when asked if she's like to be on Glee.

There's no doubt Katy has the full support of fiancee Russell Brand, who recently said she is a "brilliant actress".
