We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again; every guy that Miley Cyrus touches becomes famous overnight! First it was ex-boyfriend Justin Gaston, then it was Hannah Montana: the movie co-star Lucas Till. Now, her The Last Song Aussie co-star and real-life love interest Liam Hemsworth is set to be the Next Big Thing.
Of course, chances are Liam would have gotten his big break with or without his association with Miley Cyrus. The guy is hot, talented and an Aussie soapie favourite! Not down with Liam? It’s time to get acquainted...
Liam was born and raised in Melbourne, and has two older brothers Luke and Chris, who are both also actors! Luke and Chris are best known for their roles on Neighbours and Home and Away respectively, and Liam followed in his older brothers’ footsteps by scoring a role on Neighbours for five episodes last year as Josh Taylor. What a talented family!
Liam has also had a couple of brief roles on Home and Away and McLeod’s Daughters, and played Marcus in children’s TV show The Elephant Princess, but his role as Miley Cyrus’ love interest in The Last Song is Liam’s first chance to show himself off to an international audience.
When these pictures of Miley and Liam surfaced from the set of The Last Song, we knew we were in for a The Notebook style love story. But it looks like Miley and Liam are the next co-stars to take their love off screen, with recent reports Miley and Liam were spotted kissing, nowhere near a movie set!
So what’s up next for Liam other than potentially being Miley Cyrus’ boyfriend? Currently he’s got two flicks in the works, Triangle and The Expendables. But once The Last Song hits the big screen (scheduled for April 2010 in Australia), we reckon there are gonna be a whole lot more offers on the table for Liam!
